Swim4fun in SwimGP

I'm still processing everything we experienced this weekend at the biggest open water event in Portugal. It was two intense, emotional, and absolutely unforgettable days — both in and out of the water. 🌊

Swim4fun was present in all distances, with swimmers representing the club from 1,000 to 20,000 meters. And the most surprising part: we finished 2nd in the team rankings for the long-distance events (20km, 10km, and 5km) and 1st in the team rankings for the short-distance events (3.8km, 1.9km, and 1km)! 🥇🥈

If someone had told me just over a year ago, when I started this movement, that we would be experiencing all this… I would have said it was impossible. But here we are. Rowing, swimming, dreaming — together.

The sea didn’t make it easy: strong currents, waves, headwind… some couldn’t finish, but everyone respected their limits and gave their best for as long as they could. And that, to me, is just as valuable as a medal.

There were incredible breakthroughs, brave first-timers, emotional hugs, tears (I admit, some were mine!), and above all, a beautiful team spirit that was heartwarming to witness. 💙

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who believes in Swim4fun, who takes part, who dedicates themselves, who support and lift each other up. You are the soul of all this.

Living the open water experience is magical. It’s challenging, transformative, liberating. You have to try it to truly understand. And our community shows, day after day, that this is for everyone.

We move forward with full hearts and the certainty that we’re creating something truly special. Thank you, Swim4fun family! 💦💫
