Smile, the present may be the mirror of the future

Sometimes I go swimming at Jamor in the slow lane. The other day, a gentleman was swimming in my lane almost vertically. He was doing a very gentle breaststroke, moving his arms very little and his feet even less, in such a way that his body never became fully horizontal in the water. I, who am slow, swam 200 m while he did not even finish 50 meters, and I smiled at the situation. At the end, while I was getting dressed, an elderly lady came up to me and said: “Young lady (me? Young lady?) would you mind putting my socks on for me? I can’t manage it.” I helped her, of course, with a smile.
Saí do Jamor feliz a pensar que daqui a 20 anos, quero estar lá, a nadar na vertical se não conseguir melhor, e sem vergonha que alguém me calce as meias. E eu com um sorriso.
