What is the connection between a coffee conversation and Oceanman? They seem like two worlds apart, but after all, it was a simple conversation between two that everything began: the adventure towards Lago d\u2019 Orta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It started half-seen: the mysterious, intriguing and challenging lake for those who have always swum with salt and a wetsuit, plus the possibility of visiting beautiful Italy and its lesser-known but always welcoming villages. And also the fact that it is an international competition where we could meet people who share our same interest from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea grew, as did the collective enthusiasm and the kilometres: from two cats dripping little by little we now had a dozen fish plus a few companions and the kilometers were no longer 1.5km but 5.5km (a distance never covered by any of the participants) .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a lot of dedication in preparation, whether it was the trip or the training, we coordinated all the details so that everything went well and in particular that everyone had fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so it was: we got there prepared and with a huge desire to enjoy this experience first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only the weather conditions didn't help and the race was shortened to 3.5km, but you know what? That was just an insignificant detail, the biggest work was already done: we took with us leagues of camaraderie, kilos of laughter, floods of beautiful panoramas and I don't know how many kilometers of training behind us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
