The scenery is simply breathtaking. Swimming there, surrounded by the island\u2019s green mountains and the deep blue of the Atlantic, is something hard to put into words\u2026 it\u2019s something you truly have to experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--medium);margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--medium);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--medium);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--medium)\"><video height=\"848\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 480 \/ 848;\" width=\"480\" controls src=\"https:\/\/clube-swim4fun.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/WhatsApp-Video-2026-04-06-at-16.25.53.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>water was crystal clear<\/strong>, super clean, and about <strong>22\u00baC<\/strong>, and with that <strong>the usage of the neoprene suit was optional<\/strong> \u2014 a fantastic feeling for anyone who loves swimming freely in the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/clube-swim4fun.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0520-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2698\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3333401151553377;width:307px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clube-swim4fun.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0520-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/clube-swim4fun.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0520-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/clube-swim4fun.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0520-2000x1500.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/clube-swim4fun.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0520-scaled-16x12.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But it wasn\u2019t just the race that won us over. The <strong>the atmosphere around the event was very welcoming<\/strong>At the end, there was a very well-organized post-race gathering with food and drinks for the athletes \u2014 a true moment of camaraderie among swimmers. It was one of those race finishes where no one is in a hurry to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, as we were already in <strong>S\u00e3o Miguel<\/strong>, we also took the opportunity to explore a bit of the island.
